I installed the simple custom CSS plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ and added the code.

first, it is not possible to add the code in the page as long as it is set as “posts” page. so I changed the posts page to be another one, added the code and tested it with a text and it was the way I would like to have the blog (centered, no sidebar) and them I set the http://baersgarten.com/blog/?page_id=5110 page back to be the posts page again and it went back to the left side 🙁

yesterday night I gave up and set some widgets on the right side so it does not look wonky anymore.
what a pity that it is not possible to have the full widht look for the blog, it would make SELA perfect 🙂 I still love it though 😉
