I only have one option for pages and cannot add more, is that my template?

Well, I’ve been reading up on them in the support sections, but the description that it’s giving doesn’t appear to be for the 2.7 version that I downloaded.

Basically, I want to create pages and subpages.

Page 1
sub 1
sub 2
sub 3

Page 2
sub a
sub b
sub c

Does anyone have simple instructions for how to do this in version 2.7?
