In reply to: Update 4.2.3I am facing a similar problem. I updated to the 4.2.3 version and since the site is showing the below error:
The file ‘wp-config.php’ already exists. If you need to reset any of the configuration items in this file, please delete it first. You may try installing now.
The upgrade has happened so it is out of the maintenance time but its stuck at some place. Can someone help please?

In reply to: My Site is down! Stuck in maintenance mode since the update 4.2.3Hi Tara,
I have checked across but there is no .maintenance file. I do see a new folder of public_html > wp-content > upgrade > wordpress-4.tmpAlso, just to recall, the steps followed during the upgrade were as below:
Downloading update from https://downloads.wordpress.org/release/wordpress-4.2.3-new-bundled.zip…
Unpacking the update…
Verifying the unpacked files…
Preparing to install the latest version…
Enabling Maintenance mode…
Copying the required files…
Disabling Maintenance mode… (this is where it got stuck)
And the site is showing me the below error –
The file ‘wp-config.php’ already exists. If you need to reset any of the configuration items in this file, please delete it first. You may try installing now.Would I see a .maintenance file in such a scenario? Sorry for the trouble, but I really need to fix this tonight! 🙁

Thanks for the prompt help! I am absolutely new to this. I am in the Cpanel>File Manager. Where do I look for this .maintenance file?
