To update everyone, as per rizaldy’s suggestion, I isntalled the wp-dbmanager plugin, and it was able to repair the two tables in question.
The phpmyadmin plugin was not able to do the same repair, so I will be switching over to wp-dbmanager, it looks more robust in terms of backups, etc. anyways.
