In reply to: [WooCommerce] Impossible to find all imagesHello,
I am coming back because I think the problem is linked to Woocommerce.
I deactivated all the plugins except WP Rocket for the cache and WP Staging Pro to test that on a staging site.
I made a video showing the problem : https://www.loom.com/share/23feaee17d094eaeab428f4c58778eb5
I cannot delete the images.
Could you please help me fix that problem ?
Thanks
Hello,
I did some test and after deleting an image, the thumbnails related to this image are not deleted like you can see on the 2 images below :
– those are the image + the thumbnails before deleting the image Xiaomi-Mi-10T-Lite-5G-Rose-1.jpg : https://ibb.co/qsqvZj5
– those are the thumbnails who are still there after I deleted the image Xiaomi-Mi-10T-Lite-5G-Rose-1.jpg : https://ibb.co/chzFrfrI have still 4 thumbnails related to the image I delete.
How to fix that please ?

In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Impossible to see all imagesHello,
First of all sorry for the delay.
Thanks for your answer !
To bring some precision, when I delete an image through WordPress, it is not completely deleted. Indeed, I can still see the image on through the FTP.
That is why, when I delete an image with a certain name and that I add a new image with the same name, it ads “-1” at the end of the name like WordPress still considers that the previous image with the same name is still here.
Here a video explaining the problem : https://the97shop.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Image-bug.mp4
Do you have a clue on how can I fix that so I can delete the duplicate content ?
I saw the “File import archive” link you shared with me but I don’t have Jetpack so the problem cannot come from here.
Thanks a lot

In reply to: Impossible to delete all imagesHello,
Thanks for the tips but it is not about finding the duplicate content.
It is about once I deleted all images with the name “Alpha” (for example), when I add another image named “Alpha”, WordPress will rename it “Alpha-1” like if there was already another image called “Alpha”, whereas I already deleted them all.Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
When I delete a specific image, do all the thumbnails created are also deleted ?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Impossible to find all imagesHello,
Yes I took contact with the plugin author.
But like I wrote, there is also a problem with WordPress/Woocommerce.“but if WordPress considers that an image with the same name already exists in this folder, it is because WordPress didnβt delete it well the first time. Because I deleted all the images with this name before uploading a new one.
So how is it possible that WordPress doesnβt delete properly images ?”

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Impossible to find all imagesHello,
I was just making some research to know where the problem comes from.
So, deactivating all the plugins, I found that a part of the problem was coming from a plugin who permits to add several images for a variation.
So for example :
– due to a freelance error, I have multiple time the same images like you can see here : https://ibb.co/qrMZ4jk
– I need to delete all the images I have multiple times (because I don’t know which one is linked to my products)
– and then I need to add the image I just deleted
– like I said on my first post, WordPress considers that this image already exists because it adds “-1” at the end of the name of the imageSo there is a bug with the variation images plugin and WordPress because :
– the plugin puts the new image on the same folder as the previous image with the same name so for example https://the97shop.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Image name
Instead, it should put ii in the image file from that month– but if WordPress considers that an image with the same name already exists in this folder, it is because WordPress didn’t delete it well the first time. Because I deleted all the images with this name before uploading a new one.
So how is it possible that WordPress doesn’t delete properly images ?
Hope I was clear enough π

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Impossible to find all imagesHello,
Unfortunately it’s still not working.
Do you have another solution ?
When I am adding an image through the backend of a product, it seems that WordPress put the images in the same file as the first image with this name because it uses the same URL file : https://the97shop.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Telephone-Xiaomi-Redmi-9A-Vert-1-1.jpg
When I add it through the Media Library it uses another URL file : https://the97shop.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Telephone-Xiaomi-Redmi-9A-Vert-1.jpg
There must be a bug in the connection with the database don’t you think ?
