I decided to remove the !important in the navbar-custom. I tried your suggestion of adding !important to the custom CSS for the menu and that worked, but not for the sub-menu items. I’m not sure why the Important was there in the navbar-custom, so I removed it.

Hi – Thanks for responding! I tried the switching the backup method to browser mode, but that still failed. So then I tried temporarily disabling wordfence and it worked just fine. Thanks so much for your help!
The theme issues are resolved. I found several !important entires in my style.css for the theme I’m using specifically related to the navbar that were conflicting with Max Mega Menu. I commented those out and the theme options are now being respected.
