We got the same error, It really happens for no reasons…
I was still on 1.9.0 when I got stuck for “creating Thumbnails”
I tried to downgrade Next Gen Gallery (1.8.4), and I messed up all my picture order and galleries. I’m so piss off !
Now all my pictures are in disorder…3 years of disorder !I really cannot help you Almacme, sorry.
If anyone know how to put in order, galleries, and images… It will be really helpful.

I got the same error, the image is uploading correctly. But doesn’t create a THumbnail…This is the message I can read when I try to upload an image.
