Thanks for the response.
Regarding full-width images in slider, I got it but not sure how. Yes, the Appearance > Theme Settings > Home > Stretch Slider enabled was checked. That was first.
I then edited Home from Pages, unchecked and rechecked Stretch Page Meta Slider, and saved. This was the first time I edited the homepage from Pages. Not sure that did the trick but recached the page and it worked.
Previous query can be ignored; I found slider plugin. I got it to work as expected.
Need to create another forum post regarding its interaction with the SiteOrigins feature.
