Im trying to build a site CMS using WP, hacking the templates and CSS around. If want to have 3 columns each with a photograph in and text below, can you point me to the right code for this in the codex. I did this years ago but can’t remember how.

Thanks for that, mines a whiskey sour. Sorry but Im really trying to get a handle on what WP can do before I invest a lot of time in it: could I for instance have recursive elements when entered on one page appear automatically on another pages too.
