  • Thanks for posting this guys. I had the same problem and resolved it by following your advice.

    I had already re-named the sidebar folder which had deactivated the plugin. I then updated to the latest WordPress version first, then Genesis 1.8. then renamed the plugin folder name and finally re-activated the plugin. I didn’t loose any of the sidebar information.
