Hi Lucia,
The issue does not persist on other themes and I deactivated all plugins on a test site, so the issue is isolated to Neve.
One thing that strangely fixed it was importing a pre-built Neve site, which makes me believe that there is some setting in the Neve theme that is doing it.
Is there a way to reset my Neve settings to default to fix this issue?

when inspecting the page source I wasn’t able to find any srcset, or does neve use some other method? could you explain how it works on the technical level?
or is the page meant to be using srcset and ive simply done something wrong?
