@photocrati – sorry for the unexact description of my problems.
1. I followed your advice concerning the Permalinks – problem resolved!
2. In the NextGEN Gallery Documentation => MANAGING IMAGES AND GALLERIES => Gallery Settings Page I see about 15 different settings.
In my blog I see only 7 settings.
But when I yesterday posted the question on the behalf of the difference between my 7 settings and the 15 settings in the documentation, I didn’t consider that the other 8 settings belong to the PRO-Version.!Thankyou for your help.
By the way, if I have a problem once more – is it possible to attach a screenshot to my post? It makes the explanation of the problem easier.hadisa
Sorry, but I have not an own server but only webspace on a provider’s server. I called him and he answered that it is not possible for me to see the log files.
There is another thing I would like to ask you about:
If I want to use the “Insert Gallery Window” function, I get instead of the window described in your documention, the Start Page of my blog with the following remark:Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /homepages/40/d205907087/htdocs/wsb4530080101/wp-includes/admin-bar.php on line 486
The next problem:
In your documentation the “Gallery settings” contain a lot of points to change. I have only 7 points available (until “NextGEN Basic TagCloud”)Are there any explanations available?
Thankyou!

It were image files like this:
IMG_1632.jpg (250 KB)
I can follow the upload process depending of the size (…% uploaded).
And then I can for about one second read “100%” and then “0%”.
Following by the message
“Upload complete
0 images were uploaded”hadisa
Now I found the solution for the second option of upload files (“manage galleries” => Check directory for new images):
I didn’t consider the ‘umlaut’ in the file name,,, sorry. But the first option I mentioned above in the first post yesterday doesn’t work at all.
Thanks!
Now I excluded the folder with the traffic logs and also the big mp4-file.
Then I tried to backup my blog without installing the neqw release you proposed. Result: The backup is ready without any problems except 2 warnings I got already during the other attempts:
================
10th Dez 2012 1.42.09 PM Warning Table ‘wp_term_relationships_img’ has no PRIMARY or UNIQUE key! Backup of this table may be inconsistent; some rows could get missed. See FAQ for more information.
10th Dez 2012 1.42.07 PM Warning Table ‘wp2_term_relationships_img’ has no PRIMARY or UNIQUE key! Backup of this table may be inconsistent; some rows could get missed. See FAQ for more information.
================This will be able to cause any problems?
If not – Thank you for your speedy reaction and solving my problems!Regards,
Hadisa
Hi Jason,
Thanks for your answer.
No, I have not activated the backup of the parent directory.
And the error messages I sent were the result of the second attempt.
About 1 hour before I already started the first attempt wihtout success with the following messages:9th Dez 2012 9.09.56 AM Error The backup failed: A filesystem operation failed.

But the file I tried to backup is really very large. Can I exclude This file? And is the size the only reason for the flop?
