I am having the same issue. Trying to upload images and it gives an HTML error on the right but doesnt tell me anything else.
I am trying to upload .jpeg files into the album.
I have the latest version of WP and NextGen.
Anyone have an idea, and using a different plugin is not a good solution.
Update:
I tried the legacy version and it seems to work fine.
