In reply to: [Hemingway] Header imageThanks.
I’d posted before fully understanding the css cover/contain behavior, and I then got further confused when narrowing the browser to see the effect of the media queries – noticing how the image became initially cropped and then on further narrowing changed again so that more of it was shown before then becoming cropped again.

In reply to: [Hemingway] Add logoThanks.
I’ll await the core fix because I’m not a fan of using css to mask stuff.
If you’re minded to do it, enabling loading from the media library will be an improvement.

In reply to: [Hemingway] Option for 'no sidebar' on posts and indexThanks.
I’m able to manually edit my templates accordingly so it’s not a big problem.
I think that addition will be a good improvement.

In reply to: [Hemingway] Custom titleThanks.
On other installs I’ve manually coded various conditionals – but was trying to avoid it this time.
(Still looking for that rarity… the ‘sensible’ theme which looks good and is well-coded with genuinely useful features and none of the silly stuff. Hemingway is the nearest I’ve yet found… so I was being optimistic in hoping for a little more which’ll made a good theme great.) 😉

In reply to: [Hemingway] Put the blog title on a side (Top-Right)Although I’ve a related/similar post in another thread, I’ll add a note here because it’s relevant.
Moving the blog-info to a top corner be a significant improvement to the theme… although the opacity of the info box can of course easily be changed, the basic center position isn’t to everyone’s taste.
Although I can do it in Hemingway Rewritten, I’ve spent hours unsuccessfully trying to do it with this theme… and am hoping someone else has a fix which doesn’t require media queries.

In reply to: [Hemingway] Move site title/logo so it works on smaller screens.I’ll ‘bump’ this in the hope of getting a solution.

In reply to: Hemingway RewrittenUPDATE: Here’s a link to a 20-second .m4v screencast of the jog issue.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Hemingway RewrittenIt’s on my self-hosted, the WP demo and all the featured users, and other sites which use it.
When a site/page with sub-pages is first loaded, the menu briefly (a second or so) works normally, but then the ‘jog-left’ happens.

In reply to: Hemingway RewrittenThanks.
It’s not currently active on any of my sites, but the issue is present on the official demo.

In reply to: [Hemingway] PHP Warning on Appearance->Customize pageThanks.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Hemingway] PHP Warning on Appearance->Customize pageI’m getting as similar issue – after adding a logo.
And, what I think (but I’m not sure because I can’t remember how it used to be) is a related issue, after saving/closing the customise panel the option to ‘remove image’ is now absent.

In reply to: [Hemingway] Header imageOk, thanks.
Bummer – it’s a really good feature… and as it’s already in the WordPress.com version I’d hoped it could be included here too.
I understand & respect the option-free simplicity issue.
