In reply to: [GeneratePress] Excellent supportI’m very pleased that you responded to my request for help within a few minutes, and resolved the problem not much later. I will repeat, excellent support!

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Comment NumberingLeo, thank you so much! That additional CSS has solved the problem and now all comments are numbered sequentially.
I have to say that your support is exceptional. To come up with a solution to my problem in little more than an hour and a half is much more than I could have expected, particularly as I am using the free version of GeneratePress so, again, many thanks.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Comment NumberingHi Leo
I can but I would prefer not to make the URL public. Is there a means by which I can sent it to you?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [GeneratePress] Comment NumberingHi Leo
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I used the CSS proposed by Tom in this thead:
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/comment-numbering/My site does not use nested comments, which should make numbering easier, but I do need to number them appropriately for backwards compatibility with the existing 18k+ posts when I replace my current theme with Generatepress.
What I am aiming for is something similar to that which can be seen here: http://www.fifteensquared.net/2020/10/28/guardian-cryptic-28276-by-brendan/

In reply to: [Cloudflare] Unable to access plugin settings etcHi thellimist
Thanks for your time in trying to resolve this issue. I have now fired up my old (standby) laptop which is my only pc with multiple browsers. I can access the plugin settings with both Chrome and Edge so it looks like another IE11 non-compatibility problem (my third in as many months, though one was rectified by ether a Microsoft update to IE11 or a revision to cPanel).Forum: Plugins

It should be the latest version as it is included in the Win10 automatic updates.

In reply to: [Cloudflare] Unable to access plugin settings etcI have a browser console screenshot but cannot find a way to include it here. The last two lines of the log were:
%c action @ 13:39:31.262 ZONES_FETCH_SUCCESS
SCRIPT438: Object doesn’t support property or method ‘endsWith’The URL at the time was:
http://www.fifteensquared.net/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=cloudflare#/home?_k=7gicdaThere are no relevant entries in any of the error logs to which I have access. The last entry in the wp-admin error log, which usually shows php errors, was in April.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry but this means nothing to me (localhost?, zone?). I installed the plugin when I signed up with CloudFlare just over four years ago and after the initial setting up I haven’t needed to access the plugin but have just updated it when a new version has been released. The plugin was installed via WordPress in the normal manner.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP-CMS Post Control] Problem when updating to PHP 5.4Thank you, jonnyauk. The problem has indeed been resolved, at least for me.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] Links Page EmptyAs I said originally, the links are “WordPress generated” ie I used the WordPress built-in tool to create them.
Thanks. v3.1.4 appears to have resolved this issue.
Update:
I have now been told of a further problem when displaying a table. In addition to the centring issue mentioned above, on mobiles using the Windows Phone platform text does not wrap within a table cell, the result being that only part of the table is displayed and the right hand side is lost. iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry do not experience this issue.I have again checked the source HTML of a couple of affected posts and there is nothing incorrect and certainly not any fixed column width statements.
This issue has not been rectified in v3.1.3 and so continues to be a significant problem given the number of posts on my site that contain a table.
A typical example can be seen here:

I have repeatedly been getting the same message in the error log since updating to v3.1.1. Please report back if a re-install works for you.
