I guess what would be simplest here is if there’s a way to use archive.php to show ALL categories–without having to add a category like “ALL” to each and every post, ideally. Is there?

One quick related question: I was able to use include/exclude in the cat_args array, but it seems to look for the category id as a numeral. I don’t see this in the admin, only the slug. Where can I find the category id as a number so that I don’t have to go through each one by trial-and-error?

Anyone have any idea how I might do this–even with complex code? It seems like someone must have come up with a way to use graphical headers on the right side, right? I don’t need them to be dynamic–they can be fixed, with the links appearing under them.
