    Hi Mikey,

    Thanks very much for the quick response.

    What I did since my original post:

    – Unlinked plugin from DropBox
    – Deleted all backup files from DropBox, including backup log.txt
    – Relinked plugin to DropBox
    – Configured exclusions as you see in the screenshot
    – *Did not* (this time) create a subdirectory in DropBox/Apps/wpb2d
    – Initiated new backup

    As you can see: the plugin (first) created a wp-content directory in DropBox/Apps/wpb2d. This directory contains the contents of public_html/greyjensen, plus the Backups directory. Then the plugin created the public_html/greyjensen directory, and another copy of greyjensen/wp-content — but this instance has only Backups and Uploads in it.

    The instance of wp-content at the bottom of the screenshot should be in DropBox/Apps/wpb2d/greyjensen.

    Solved. It was a cookies issue.
