In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Addtional CNAMES break websiteActually, I wasn’t loading different file-types. the names could have just as easily been cdn1.housingstorm.com,cdn2.housingstorm.com,cdn3.housingstorm.com, etc…
When the additional cnames are in there, the files don’t load. MaxCDN, for what it’s worth.

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Should I Switch to WP-Super Cache? Thanks Ron,
From what I can tell, Super Cache should function a lot like batcache in that regard – I’m just hoping it plays nicer with forums.
I am getting a boost from Memcached – is there any harm in using Memcached along with WP Super Cache?

In reply to: Subdomain Permalinks Changed – Now Posts Are 404 PagesSo, here’s another post that was just written and published on a sub-blog.
http://secondself.housingstorm.com/2011/02/24/when-good-marketing-opportunities-go-bad/
The blog had the permalinks set this way when the post was written and published. But you have to, again, remove the day from the permalink to see the post.
If the permalinks are set to include the day, new posts with those permalinks should work, right?

In reply to: Subdomain Permalinks Changed – Now Posts Are 404 PagesI tried renaming my plugins and mu-plugins files to force deactivate. No luck.
Also, I did upgrade one plugin yesterday: Donncha’s domain mapping.
It said that it only had minor tweaks to be compatible with 3.1…

In reply to: Subdomain Permalinks Changed – Now Posts Are 404 PagesHere’s an example:
http://bostonnorthwesthomes.housingstorm.com/2011/02/21/testing-my-real-estate-theory-brokers-open/
Now, delete the “21/” and it works great.
Again, everything worked fine, and then didn’t. Any clue how to troubleshoot this?

In reply to: [Plugin: Quick Post Widget] Visual Editor is not loading properlyAs a side note…have you ever thought about trying to make this compatible with Buddypress?
It would be incredible to have this ability right from a member’s profile page.

In reply to: [Plugin: Quick Post Widget] Visual Editor is not loading properlyYou want to sign up for a free blog and I’ll activate the plugin for you so you can see it?
I’m not sure if there’s an easier way…

In reply to: [Plugin: Multipost MU] Posting 200 copies of each post – bugI have v1.1 and I’m having a problem with this issue as well. But, mine is more complicated. I’m using the mulit-site plugin to create an extra layer in my architecture. Global, Regional(a sub-site of global) and local (blogs within subsite)
Ideally, I’d like to be able to post to the main site OR to regional sites and have select posts filter down to local sites. But, when I post to the main site, the posts only go down the the regional level. If I activate the plugin at the regional level, I get the posts duplicated hundreds of times on each local site.
And, no matter which way I do it, neither the categories nor the tags transfer.
housingstorm.com
This plugin is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’m excited to get it to work.
Also, a question for you…I’ve been reading that the reason why there aren’t other plugins like this floating around is that search engines will think it’s a spam site and blacklist it. My goal was to have a comprehensive main site, with the best posts filtering down to the local level…so the content on a local site would be half generated from above and half generated by local authors. Am I shooting myself in the foot with search engines by sharing so much content?

And,
I add that code to my themes style.css file, right? does it matter where in the code it goes?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Plugin: Author Avatars List] Wrong Parameter CountPaul,
I made the change on line 250, and there is some improvement. The same error message is there, but the images do show up beneath it.
Also, any thoughts on how to show the tiles as mosaic within a sidebar widget? Above, you mentioned using shortcode…is there a specific code that will create a mosaic?
