It wasn’t anything dramatic – not a huge version change. I did not have an old PHP version, either, so that wasn’t the cause.
Deleting the plugin from the plugins folder worked for me as a solution.
Due to this, I will not be installing it again, as it seems that it’s not know why or how the error is caused, and I’m not going to risk it again.
Are there any updates that could be made to the BackUpWordPress on your end that could get it working, Paul?

Yes, BackUpWordPress was active on the site before I updated. It is possible that BackUpWordpress was one of the plugins that required an update.
I’ll try to get my host to delete it from the plugin folder. What would be the ramifications of doing so?
