You can allow anyone to post comments if you have checked the box under the General Options section to Allow guest postings.
Then, if you have Categories set up, you must set up Forums below the Category. The viewer will then click the Forum title, they should then see a rectangular button that says New Topic. They can then begin typing their comment in the forum.

One other small issue came up when testing. When a user subscribes to a topic they will get an email whenever someone posts a reply. The email that the user gets needs some modifications.
The email starts as follows:

——-
The first sentence needs to be modified a bit. First it starts with a lower case letter and should be a initial cap. But more importantly, the grammer needs a bit of work. Below would be a more appropriate start to the message.

Hello,You received this message because there is a new answer in a forum-topic you have subscribed to:
——-
I am happy to make the modification on my end if you could lead me to the location and file where this statement is generated from.

In reply to: [Asgaros Forum] Controlling upload file size and quantityThank you for the quick work. I downloaded the development version but it seems that it removed all of my forums and it won’t save any forums that I create. I deactivated the original plugin and uploaded the new one from GitHub.

In reply to: [Asgaros Forum] more improvement is neededI would love to have the ability to limit upload size and amount of images per post. I can limit the file size and number of items that go into my Uploads folder, but not into the Asgaros folder. Thanks for considering!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] fonts much smaller in eventsHi alternateroute. I have not found a solution to this. You problem looks exactly the same as my problem. It works successfully with the same theme on another website. My guess is that there is a plugin conflict but haven’t had time to track it down. If I do, I will note it here. Hate to hear of the problem but glad I am not alone.
Both plugins are still working. Looks like just a conflict.
I am also getting this same warning when updating the plugin in my development site. Running the most current version of WordPress. Using Mantra theme. Holding off updating in live until this is resolved.
/plugins/menu-icons/includes/picker.phpProblem solved. That code was hard coded into the html. Something I had to do years ago to stop the testimonials from showing share buttons. However, this was still shortcode and I would think that the the shortcode wouldn’t show up because it’s shortcode. This only showed up after the update to the Testimonials plugin.
I have removed the Simple Share Buttons Adder plugin but still showing.
I think this is from the Simple Share Buttons Adder plugin. I had to hide the sharing links for testimonials otherwise they showed in widget testimonials.
Richard, I just updated to the new plugin and have a new issue. See below for a widget testimonial as it now shows on my website. There is some code showing now that wasn’t there before. See the [ssba_hide] message. Shouldn’t be there.

Using this on a regular/standard page. I also use your plugin as a widget but it works fine. Only when used on a page do I have this trouble.
Thank you.My was definitely broken. Working with this plugin in the beginning was the first plugin on my wordpress site and it always worked that way. No other plugins to conflict with. The important thing is that it’s ok now and I am happy.
