In reply to: Has my WP site been hacked -again-?Yes, the last hack was due to a timthumb.js vulnerability and I read those threads and “repaired” the site several weeks ago. I’ll make another backup of the site here shortly. What’s weird is that it only seems to happen with Chrome and (so far at least) only seems to happen with my computer (a MacBook Pro running 10.6.8). I’m running a virus / malware scan of my computer as I’m writing this, but in 8 years I’ve yet to have a virus / malware on my Mac. Since it only happens when I first load the website each day it’s a hard issue to track. Even setting my system clock back doesn’t trigger it, which leads me to believe it’s on the website. If you’d like to give it a try, PM me for the website’s address.

In reply to: Make folder appear as home page?Got it! I needed to update the Permalinks. Didn’t quite understand that part of the directions, but it worked. Thanks very much for that link, that got me in the right direction. 🙂

In reply to: Make folder appear as home page?Oops! I’ll take that back. Everything works -except- my “Contact” page. If I fill in the form and click on send, nothing happens. Any ideas?
I investigated a bit further and if I open the Contact page in the ../mywordpress/ folder, it works, but if I open it from the root folder, it doesn’t work. Any suggestions?

In reply to: Make folder appear as home page?I haven’t tried it yet but before I do, can you tell me if that will work if I’ve already installed everything to a folder (ie. http://www.mypage.com/mywordpress/)?
Thanks! 🙂

In reply to: New user, nothing but problems, please help!1 & 2: You need to use PHP 5. Check 1&1’s knowledgebase.
Aha! That seems to help. I followed the “5 minute installation” instructions but don’t remember seeing that PHP 5 was required. I’ll keep digging into the other issues to see what I can sort out.

In reply to: New user, nothing but problems, please help!Q1 & 2: PHP version is 4.4.9
Q3: I’ll give it a try, but I have no plugins activated and this is the first WP site I’ve worked on so some of those issues don’t apply.
Q4: Checked, didn’t find anything.
