Hello Cory,
I found the issue.
Yesterday, when I ran the process, I copied and pasted the paths directly from the ftp program: “/home/xxx/etc.”, but if you notice the extract from the log, Duplicator sets the location of the archive to “home2“, which is a link to the “home” directory, and not to “home”, which is the real directory.

I just changed the exclusion paths to “/home2/xxx/etc.” and the process ran without problems, the defined directories were excluded.

I hadn’t, but I just did and yes, the settings are there:
ARCHIVE (ZIP):
ARCHIVE DIR: /home2/xxx/public_html
ARCHIVE FILE: xxx_20150617_558…_archive.zip
FILTERS: *ON*
DIRS: /home/xxx/public_html/cgi-bin;/home/xxx/public_html/temp;
EXTS: not set
