Ok, I thought this was an override for the WordPress menus and permission levels.

But my point here is that if I set a new user profile up which I did and named it Blogger, I can then add the ‘Pages’ group to a user with the Blogger profile.

The problem is, I cant change it for an ‘Author’ although I am doing the same thing with your plugin and it shows the same in the AAM fields as for the user with the Blogger profile.

    So:-

The Blogger shows in AAM as having access to Pages (nothing ticked) and they have access to Pages

The Author shows in AAM as having access to Pages (nothing ticked) but they do not have access to it.

That sounds like a problem with the plugin and not WordPress?

    Hello.

I did look at a youtube video but that only showed setting a new profile group up – I want to edit the existing profile e.g. ‘author’, but nothing seems to change when I edit that one or ‘editor’.

Is that covered in the FAQ or video?

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

So, do you mean that if a feature is unchecked it will be enabled? If so, it seems odd as when opening the AAM page up, it shows the dashboard as ticked for the Administrator. Would that not be unchecked for the Administrator? I cant actually see what difference it makes though.

But the main thing is, when I amend the profile for the Author profile to show the Pages menu on the left, it still doesnt show up. If I do the same with the new profile I created, it works. However I would like to amend the existing profiles.

    Hello.

I would like to prevent this from happening.

I am trying to use a recent images widget in the side bar, but after an image is uploaded, it shows two of each image – one the thumbnail and the other full size.

Is there a way to either stop uploading like this and upload one image but show a resized image as a thumbnail, or have the thumbs saved to a thumbs folder? At the moment they get stuck in the same folder? I tried the suggestion to alter the size values in media–>settings to 0, as well as changing to the twenty 10 theme – neither have worked.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Greg
