In reply to: Subdomain installation errorNo way… I have uploaded everything for 3rd time and keep receiving same error. I suppose my ftp client is fooling me or there something else. I’ll keep trying and see what happens… otherwise i’ll switch to Mambo 🙂

In reply to: Subdomain installation errorOk, one by one… I still can’t install. I double checked wp-config.php and tryed to change settings but still no results.
Actually I am in this situation because I had a previous version correctly running, but I wanted to add pages with different templates and css and an horizontal nav bar… so I uploaded a home.php templ and lost access to my entire blog… Now I’am trying to reinstall everything and start from scratch.

In reply to: WordPress won’t install…I know now it was the ftp client that changed the files authorization to something different from 755… I went on my server sontrol panel and correct it… now it seems to work properly. I have accessed the dashboard.

Anyway, I don’t have any .htaccess file in my root directory… is that normal? I also don’t know what u mean for mod_rewrite… sorry, I am verry dummy.

In reply to: WordPress won’t install…Hello, I am tryng to install WP but when I try to open webdejavu.com/wp-admin/install.php I always get this error page back:
“Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, postmaster@webdejavu.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.”
I am sure that my hosting service supports php and MySql, that all files are in root and that the information I have introduced in the wp-config.php is all correct. So haw can I complete the installation process?
My MySql service do not allow to create new DB so I have to use 1 of the 5 default DB they provided me… Also, the hostname I’ve got is 62.149.150.34 but I don’t think this might be a prob. So… this is all the information I have. Can u help me? Tnx
