I copied the wp-config.php file into the root folder and .. it seems to work.

I’m missing something…
From the outside, the site’s URL remained the same (i.e. http://www.something.com ).Before the change it was http://www.something.com and the files were located on the server at: /somethingElse.com/something.com/ and it is now http://www.something.com, that is located on a new server at: /something.com/something.com/ (with a point in the .htaccess file)
So … What am I missing here ? 🙁

Thank you for the reply.I did the change myself.
The site was moved from being in a subfolder on the old server into being a subfolder on a new server WHILE this is the primary domain – so the root folder is actually one level above.I followed the article and made changed to the .htaccess and the site does load.
Links work and posts and added successfully.
The only thing that does not work is the forward to the managing dashboard so I doubt if this is a “home site” url issue …Any Idea ??
