In reply to: Update to 3.0.4 theme Gone. BACKUP YOUR THEME!As I said, I did this a couple of times before and everything went perfect so it is definitely an anomaly but a very unfortunate one indeed.
My only hope is maybe it moved it somehow, but I’ve been checking all the files over and over and it’s just not there. I know my webhost makes a daily backup. Hopefully they can restore the site. I’m just a bit scared they won’t be reading tickets tomorrow with the new year and all.

In reply to: Update to 3.0.4 theme Gone. BACKUP YOUR THEME!P.s:
I have done the same procedure at least 4 times before and never had this problem so I can only assume it has something to do with the update. I just sent an e-mail to the creator of thematic. Maybe he has an idea what happened.

In reply to: Update to 3.0.4 theme Gone. BACKUP YOUR THEME!That’s interesting because it just did. It deleted both. I have no other explanation. Let me retrace my steps.
I got the please update e-mail. I logged in. Backed up using WordPress Database Backup. Deactivated all plugin’s except Akismet. Downloaded the back-up. Then I pressed update automatically and it went to work. After wordpress said the update was successful I checked my site and it was using Twenty Ten. I went to themes and saw twenty ten was the only theme currently installed. I then connected to my webhost using Transmit (mac) and looked at the theme folder. Both thematic and my child theme are gone.
So if wordpress did not delete them what or who did. They where there before the update, they are gone after. I don’t know what else to make of it.

In reply to: Update to 3.0.4 theme Gone. BACKUP YOUR THEME!thematic and my thematic child theme. They are both gone. Like wordpress did a fresh install and deleted everything. I keep looking at my ftp thinking I’m dreaming.
I did a back-up and then used the one click update.

In reply to: wp 3.0.4L.s,
So I updated wordpress to 3.0.4 after I backed up all the databases and it works like a charm. The only problem is my theme is gone. Gone from the wordpress theme’s menu, gone from the server. It either threw it away or wrote something over it. The theme is based on the thematic framework which is compatible with 3.0.4. I don’t have a recent backup of my own child theme. I know silly. So I suppose this is a general warning to all. BACKUP YOUR THEME. NOT ONLY THE DATABASES.
Is it possible wordpress just moved the darn thing because of compatibility issues?

In reply to: My Crack at a Client Login Section/Customer PortalExcellent work man. I must say there are probably some things that don’t exactly streamline the process but it looks professional and feels quit secure ;). I’ve been trying to do something like this but then decided to just pay for professional software (http://www.activecollab.com/). Works fine for me. Your a month down the line man…gotta get rid of that under construction page 😉
Greetings from Amsterdam,
GideonResolved. If anyone is interested:
Just add a link to your description. Yes it is that easy.
e.g:<a href:"link">visit</a>I imagine this would also work to link to pages or posts as long as you use perma-links 😉
Try to give a more detailed description of what you want to do. What do you mean by page template? Are you using wordpress?
