@femiyb,
apologies for the delay. I will test it right away. Can you tell me what the developers did fix for this issue? And how is this going to be monitored for future releases? Because it is a hell of a job checking 100+ orders to see if the stock did decrease and restore it.Best regards,
GidarnoHi @femiyb,
Do you have some tips on how to troubleshoot the Mollie plugin? Because i did a lot of testing on our staging site, but i cannot repoduce the issue. Last time the issue was within the merchantCapture file and 2 different statusses were set. But this time the same status is set twice with a few orders.
Best regards, Gidarno
Hi @femiyb
Apologies for the delay. I’m still testing on the staging site, but I can’t seem te reproduce the issue. I will try and dig deeper into the issue. In the meanwhile I downgraded the Mollie plugin back to 7.1.0 on our live site in the hope this wil fix it for now.
See some screenshots below:

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Stock levels are reduced twice after an order has been placedHi @jaygumanid, @mosesmedh,
I checked the support topics for the Mollie payments for WooCommerce and I found a topic describing the exact same issue, which was started about 3 weeks ago:
Wrong order status with payment via Klarna Pay Later | WordPress.orgSo I think we can mark this topic as resolved, because the issue is known and they are working on a fix.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Stock levels are reduced twice after an order has been placedHi @jaygumanid, @mosesmedh,
A new day and a fresh view of things. Based on all the steps you provided. I think I have found a clue to this issue by checking all the notes from the orders where it occurs. I’ll try to summarize the steps I’ve tried so far.
- Deactivating all plugins (except WooCommerce and Mollie payments for WooCommerce)
- Set the “Hold Stock” to 0 (it was default set to 60)
- Switched themes from Hello Elementor to StoreFront
- Changed the PHP settings (thanks for pointing this one out, I recently switched from PHP 8.0 to 8.3 so all the settings were set to default)
- Checked the logs and scheduled-actions for clues (No luck so far)
After all of these steps I started to check out the order notes for clues just as Moses Medh had said.
The first thing I noticed is that these stock issues occurred when customers used a post pay payment method in my case Klarna and Klarna slice it.I can see 2 notes that are created at the same time with 2 different statuses:
- Order status changed from Pending payment to On hold.
- Order status changed from Pending payment to In progress.
Both of these statuses will reduce your product stock. (I tested this with creating orders manually)
My best guess is that this is caused by the Mollie Payments for WooCommerce plugin, but before opening a support topic at their end are there any other things for me to check?Best regards,

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Stock levels are reduced twice after an order has been placedHi,
So I’ve done some extensive testing on a staging site and the issue is still present. I disabled all the plugins except for woocommerce and switched the theme from Hello Elementor to Storefront.
To complete an order I needed to activate the Mollie Payments for WooCommerce, but nothing helped. I any of you have some pointers where to look at would be great because I’m pretty much stuck right now.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Stock levels are reduced twice after an order has been placedHi guys,
I wanted to let you know that I’m still testing. It’s pretty random and it does not occur on every order.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Stock levels are reduced twice after an order has been placedHi Jayson,
Thank you for your reply. I’ve been checking the orders from today and noticed that it is not occuring with all the orders. I also noticed that the orders where it did occur you can see a duplicate notification where stock is decreasing twice.
for example:
5 -> 4 and the second notification shows 4 -> 3 but the customer only bought the product 1 time.
In te meantime i will setup a staging site to test the steps you provided.
Best regards,
Gidarno
@pmbaldha thank you for the support I think this is the best option for now. Is this issue going to be fixed in a future release of this plugin?
Best Regards,
Gidarno@pmbaldha It looks like disabling the firewall works. I will now check the settings for XMLRPC and Pingback. Can i enable the firewall when i untick these boxes?
Best Regards,
Gidarno@pmbaldha Thank you for the reply, that was also my first thought. But when I checked the setting it was already unticked. Jetpack comes with woocommerce by default and is necessary for the connection to the woocommerce app. Is it possible that jetpack and all in one wp security collide with each other?
Are there any other settings or logfiles I can check?
Best regards,
Gidarno
