In reply to: install ganry theme, jetpack – stats plummeted.Hi,
We’ll I haven’t played with the JetPack, but having a backup of all files and database (in sql file) is always a good idea. Once you’ll have your backup I think that you can just go for it because you always have your content which you can revert to if anything goes wrong. Sorry that I couldn’t be helpful on that one.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Gantry] [Plugin: Gantry] Doesn't seem to workHi,
In order to make the update process easier we’ve decided to place the Gantry plugin in the WordPress plugins directory, so everybody could easily update it like any other plugin. Unfortunately it didn’t went so well as we expected. Because of the naming mistake WordPress isn’t replacing the files in the old plugin directory but creates a new one. We’re working on fixing that ASAP so everybody could safely and easily update their Gantry.
Please DON’T update the gantry via WordPress updater until the naming issue will be solved.
If you already updated your plugin, the solution is to FTP to the wp-content/plugins/ and change the directorys name from ‘gantry-template-framework’ to ‘gantry’, go back to the Plugins menu in the admin and reactivate the Gantry or to remove it completely and install the version from the http://gantry-framework.org or the one found in your theme download directory.
I’m very sorry about that and hope that we’ll be able the sort this out really quickly.
I’ve already requested deletion of this plugin so we could post it under new (proper) name. Unfortunately the WP.org doesn’t allow you to stop publishing the plugin that you’ve once added 🙁
