Thanks for the reply. I think i figured it out yesterday, i needed to also block the xmlrpc.php file; disabling this file has some caveats so one should research first. Your logs were showing wp_xmlrpc as the gateweay.

Apologies my URL should have been more specific.
The problem is on the tertiary pages with the sub menu on the side:
http://calmar.maverickdesign.ca/associations-clubs/

If you load the page and go directly to the sidebar menu and click to open its sub menus it works until you hover over the main menu. Once you hover over the top menu you will no longer be able to click to open the sub menus on the sidebar.
