  • Metoo, I found this “ATTACHMENTS” so ugly on my forum pages ! I asked for a solution a long time ago but I get no answer, I succeeded masking this so ugly and useless line by just wiping off the word in the front.php file of the plugin (line 249) but keeping the “”. But if there is any update you’ll have to do it again !!!
Concerning the second question : no idea !

In the end I finished by founding it line 208 of the front.php file, I just erased the word «ATTACHMENTS» between « » and also the : in the line. Just as simple ! Concerning the file name, without any relevance in my case, I found in the parameters window the ability to show it or not, but when it is «not » the lightbox does not open when you click on thumbnails (which is not so bad because when it opened it showed every single image of the thread). Concerning the dashed line separating the attached file from the reply I simply give up …

Thank you for these explanations. In a practical way and considering the needs for my site (blog + forum in a photoclub) I chose to assign the value 1280 in « height ». By doing so, even in a 16/9 landscape width will stay under 2560. And at the end every body is happy. Thanks again.

Untill now yes, perfectly, there where updates with a lot of plugins I am currently using. I don’t know how you are using Imsanity but as far as I explore the behaviour with the addons, mainly GD bbpress attachments and User article submission I find that the best way is to get the height parameter at my convenience ie 900pix (0 in the with) and let Imsanity doing the job, when I tried to have both value assigned the result is not so bad but fairly unpredictable 🥳

A few hours later and a night sleep :
    After updating everything WP included.
I tried user front uploading with a different image size 3264×2448 (652Ko) and I obtained a resizing at 2560×1920 pix the target was 1920pix.
Then I changed the target values to width1920 height 0 and then it worked perfectly with a landscape image.
It worked too with a very big file 5890 × 3313 (9,8Mo) landscape
With a file in portrait orientation 2988 × 5312 (4,9Mo) and everything else the same I obtained :
1440 pix x 2560pix not so bad ! I suppose there is a kind of conflict between width and height assigned values. What do you think ?

Yes you are right to ask me : actually the file was loaded but not resized

Hi, I try the plugin this morning on my local site. It did the job very well with jpeg loaded in the uploader in the WP medias section, as well with the jpeg uploader from GD bbpress attachments but it failed when it came to my front end image uploader from user article submission ??? What do you think about this ?
