Anyone actually done this? I’m in the same boat (need a static site for distribution in Africa (no email access) – Live CD possible but worried about easy of use.

I would be interested to know if you had a successful result, Philippe – although by not including an email address in your profile it does make it hard to contact you.
I have a very similar situation (also for Africa) and I would prefer to have a real static site, the Live CD option is also being considered. But it has to be fool proof at the user’s end, and that is why a true static site would be best.
