Yes, you can.
Goto wp-admin panel –> PhotoContest –> Config settings and choose — No role — at the ROLE_UPLOAD question.
The uploader still needs to enter their emailaddress and name, so collecting the details are still possible
(This can be done even when the contest is already started!!)

Take a look at the template.tpl file in skins/aqua/template.tpl.
By default the plugin uses this code:

2) Looks like your database is already updated (use it only if you have any database trouble AFTER upgrading the plugin

Frank9 out of 10 times, it is because the permissions aren’t set correctly.
the one issue is after upgrading, some of the database changes aren’t saved.Is this a fresh install?
