You can display the slider posts in the list of your blog posts by unchecking the option “Check to exclude slider post from Homepage posts” on the following path in the theme customizer.
Admin Area -> Appearance -> Customize -> Travelify Featured Slider -> Featured Post/Page Slider Options

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.
The Travelify theme is compatible with WP 4.3.1 and many users are using it without any issue.
Could you please tell us how you updated your WordPress version that caused this issue?
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site and not really the theme issue so please try temporary deactivating all plugins and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

In the latest version of the Travelify theme, the theme options are moved to theme customizer as a recommendation of wordpress.org so now you will find the custom CSS option on the following path.
Admin Area -> Appearance -> Customize -> Travelify Other Options

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.
It’s working fine on my test site using latest version of Travelify theme.
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

Yes you can make the sub menu always visible by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS option of your theme on the below path.
Admin Area -> Appearance -> Customize -> Travelify Other Options
#main-nav ul.sub-menu { display: block; }And can i make the submenu full width just like the main menu bar in travelify?
Do you mean instead of displaying menu items vertically, you want to display them horizontally?
Please advise.
And I realised that the menu item have a navigation by default is that removable

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.
It’s the known issue which is resolved in the theme and the updated version of the theme containing fix for it will be released ASAP.

In the Unite theme the category page is displayed by the archive.php template file so you can customize this file by overwriting it in the child theme.
