I changed the redirect URL on Slice of SciFi back to the old one, and the stats redirect now appears again, both on the webpage and in the feed.
Kick-Ass Mystic Ninjas is using the new stats redirect URL, which displays in the RSS feed, but not on the webpage.
Since the other redirect URLs reappeared when I reverted them back, I have also submitted a trouble ticket with Podtrac. Makes no sense why one URL appears on both the front end and the RSS feed when the other does not… you’d think it would be all or nothing for both URLs, right?
Look at the RSS feed for Dragon Page, and you’ll see what I’m talking about. The media for this one is not hosted on Blubrry, but it is using Podtrac stats, and the redirect does appear in the RSS feed, but not on the webpages. That’s how I was able to eliminate any possible issues with Blubrry redirections for the feeds. This feed is also still using the new redirect URL that Podtrac has in their instructions.
And thank you, I think I have the disappearing podcast title thing sorted.
I upgraded one of the sites still running Powerpress 6.2.1 to 6.3.3, and got some of the settings back, but the other one isn’t behaving yet, the one that was converted from podpress to Powerpress 6.3.3 over the weekend (no redirects showing on website page).
If it helps, all the sites I mentioned that are having issues this weekend are running either WP 4.4.3 or 4.5.2.
They are all individual WP installations, across different web hosts.
Another data point, the podcast title disappeared from the two that I updated the other day… Babylon Podcast and Kick-Ass Mystic Ninjas all had their feed titles disappear within the past 24 hours or so:
http://www.babylonpodcast.com/feed/podcast/
even though those are still set in the Powerpress settings, both the main settings and the custom podcast channel settings.
Sites where the redirect stopped displaying on website:
http://www.sliceofscifi.com (just converted to Powerpress today, redirect doesn’t work on page)
http://www.kickassmysticninjas.com (was working till I updated redirect link today)
http://www.dragonpage.com (was working till I updated redirect link today)Sites where I haven’t updated any settings yet, and redirects are still working:
http://www.babylonpodcast.com
http://www.winginitarchives.comSpecific examples of episodes missing redirects:
http://www.sliceofscifi.com/2016/05/21/slice-of-scifi-765/
http://www.kickassmysticninjas.com/2010/03/07/kamn-show-47/Working episode redirects:
http://www.babylonpodcast.com/2012/12/01/babylon-podcast-show-280/
http://www.winginitarchives.com/2006/04/dragon-page-wingin-it-58-voicemail-show/But if you look at the RSS feeds for the non-working sites, you can see the redirect in the media link, plain as day.
Looks like I may have to take that back… the redirect URL DID disappear from the media player instances on the website running Powerpress 6.2.1 after I updated to the new Podtrac URL.
FYI, I tried updating to Powerpress 6.2.2, but the problem still exists.
However, I downgraded to Powerpress 6.1 on a whim, and the problem still persisted, but I waited a little while then compared settings between kickassmysticninjas.com and babylonpodcast.com since both are using the custom podcast channel, and the single thing I changed to make both identical was removing the “iTunes Subscription URL” in the main iTunes settings.
I then did a hard refresh, and now my larger item limit on kickassmysticninjas.com is behaving as expected; that feed now has the full list of episodes.
So Powerpress 6.1 works the way I need to. Then I updated back to 6.2.1, keeping the adjusted settings, and the feed still works the way I need to.
I have absolutely no idea why removing that iTunes URL field changed anything, but since that’s the only update I made to the site that wasn’t working, I gotta make the obvious assumption about it.
I may try updating to 6.2.2 later in the week, but for now, I’ll keep things as is and let the feed updates settle in.
The feed in question is http://www.kickassmysticninjas.com/feed/podcast/ and the value I specified is 75 (there are 54 items total in the feed).
You might have to do the redirect=no trick to see it since the main feed is being tracked at Podtrac, http://feeds.podtrac.com/90Dk7ZFLsF33 (I have that configured to use the /?feed=podcast URL to avoid looping).
Also, http://www.babylonpodcast.com/feed/podcast/ is set to 325 items, and is displaying all 302 items in the feed (though iTunes only shows 300). So that one seems to be working with the Custom Podcast Channel settings…
The only difference I see is that the non-working feed is WP 4.3.1 and the working feed is WP 4.2.5
The site using Category casting is http://www.winginitarchives.com and for instance, http://www.winginitarchives.com/category/dpwi/feed/ has 67 items in it, and all the category casts set up there are working (that site is running 4.3.1, but still using Powerpress 6.1)
It’s odd… I can’t seem to figure out what’s causing the discrepancy… all three sites are on the same server!
So, to sum up:
working: WP 4.2.5, PP 6.2.1, custom channel (babylonpodcast.com)
working: WP 4.2.5, PP 6.1, category channels (winginitarchives.com)
not working: WP 4.3.1, PP 6.2.1, custom channel (kickassmysticninjas.com)Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP-SpamShield] Gravity forms and WP-spamshieldWait, what? I’m glad there’s a fix for the multipart forms issue (and I’ll try that out post haste), but I had used your website’s contact form to submit that issue on behalf of a client about 3 weeks ago… somewhere between August 8-10.
I had to have them switch to a different antispam plugin in the meantime so their form would work, but finding out that you never got my report on the problem (with many details and the test form you could try out the problem on) is a bit of a concern.
On their multipart form, it wouldn’t hang on the second page, it would proceed just fine through a varying number of pages, but hang on the final page, when the submit button was clicked, and at the time, disabling the email harvester option did not resolve it.
I will contact them to see if they want to test out the fix and see if it works for them… thanks!

In reply to: [Genesis Club Lite] Accordion option does not display in "edit page"Yes, that would be a misleading “feature”, since the “Display” module is listed as managing so many other things 🙂
I hadn’t read anything that clearly or obviously stated that it had to be enabled for all other modules to work, so I just thought it was an individually independent option, that any singular module would work standalone, sort of.
Thanks for lessening future confusion!

In reply to: [Genesis Club Lite] Accordion option does not display in "edit page"FWIW, nothing I tried was able to get the Accordion working, so I just used the accordion shortcodes that are in the Themedy Toolbox plugin instead.
I upgraded TweetThis this morning, and this exact same issue happens.
It also affects the “Add Media” button in podPress, making it nearly full page width.

In reply to: [YUZO] Customizing the Image sizeCurrently, the Yuzo options only allow me to choose an image width, but not an image height.
If in my theme’s functions.php I have additional image sizes defined, I should be able to choose those by default from the “Thumbnail SIze” dropdown in the Styling section.
eg, if I have defined:
add_image_size('featured-sm', 150, 75, TRUE);then I should be able to select that size in the plugin settings.I have several themes where the WordPress default media sizes of “Thumbnail” and “Medium” are set to zero, because I’m using different names with different sizes. I haven’t tried the plugin on those sites yet, but I’m guessing it might not work since those sizes are defined as zero.
So that means I cannot make the related posts thumbnail image the size that I want it to be. There is an old plugin called Related Posts Thumbnail that would do this, but it hasn’t been updated in a long time, which is why I’m hoping your plugin will be able to replace it quite nicely.

In reply to: [YUZO] Customizing the Image size+1 for this.
It would be nice to choose from any of the available image sizes defined in the theme, not just from the WP defaults of “thumbnail” and “medium”.
