Hi,
deactivating the Better Docs caused us a lot of trouble with the all knowledge base section, with the look and feel of our kb section, have to install another plugin which is not so great, don’t have the faq section etc.
We need to take action because the website is in production and the kb section weren’t accessible by users.I can’t disable the Authors plugin because we build an entire ecostsem around it and it is more important than Better Docs, otherwise I would did it
With this new kb plugin, the initial error of getting the wrong template is solved.
The persisting issue is that Authors plugin inject author box in kb articles, which initially, when thins were working good with Better Docs, the author box were not injected in bd articles.
Hi,
it appeared automatically without any action from our end.
Show above the content/Show below the content are not checked. Meanwhile, we disable the Better Docs.
Hi,
we are using last version 4.9.1. The issue happened after last update of Publishpress Authors plugin. I guess the Publishpress Authors is replacing the template from the Patterns that was set from FSE and interfere with custom post type because is injecting the author box at document level from knowledge base we created with Betterdocs and with weDocs. This didn’t happened befeore last PPA update.
I partially understand, but in this particular situation I disagree with you. And offering support by answering 90% of tickets to please check compatibility issues, is not an industry standard.
You must know how your customers choose your product, Turor LMS. Is all based on functionalities, flow and design. I have tested for three months all LMS plugins to decide which one to integrate in our platform. I’ve chosen Tutor based on its frontend course builder design! In all this time there was no information on Tutor website that a new frontend interface it will be released after a couple of months. Why? Because was a surprise for the public, nobody anticipated that move from your part. And, after a couple of months, automatically updating Tutor, I discovered what was your big suprise with Tutor 3!
Industry standars are something each company adapt and integrates inside own processes. In your particula case, where people choose in a particular way your plugin, you should be aware of that and adapt industry standards to your customers’ needs and expctations. For this reasons, if you create a plugin for an certain industry niche, you have the obligation to create a private roadmap, ask your paying customers to address their opinion, because your plugin’s changes will directly affect theyr worl, flows, businesses.
If Tutor plugin would have been free in Pro version, this discussion would have place.
Next time when you can’t find your common sense and want to jump in public discussions by trying to give everybody a lesson, think twice!
@fitspoint1 no I can’t role back. No assistance from Tutor. Their support is something like: “on our servers is working fine, please check compatibility issues with other your plugins.” In my opinion, they build Tutor with one scenario in mind: single plugin elearning website, where Tutor is the only active plugin. They did not made tests in different environments, they are expecting you to buid a simple elearning website to sell courses through Tutor. A couple of developers listening “Nothing else matters” by Metallica all day in headphones.
In my opinion, a such major change in UX must be only be made by asking their active subscribers, the persons who bought Tutor for building a business or integrate it in their business. Not take anyone by surprise. This is not serious company. We are now locked in with Tutor and it’s difficult to get out. Nasty experience we had. We also stop payng for Pro.

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Delete plugin errorHi Robin,
thanks foy help, your support is much appreciated. But… I am not as happy as you are. Deleting your plugin is pure insane. You shoud display a big banner on everywhere that deleting the Givewp plugin will be a pain in the ass.
Fix the issues, distribute it within a patch, and let people delete properly the Givewp plugin, ok? It’s mandatory. No workaround.
This should be reported to WordPress team for not following the WP terms.
Dear Alexander,
thank you for your kind support.
As we have no experience with ES, I am thinking if we could work with you to help us properly set Elasticsearch with WPSOLR, check the current instalment, and set things up for good.
Basically we need to hava e fully functional search by one keyword, by multiple keywords, facets (our ideal is to have it work like the jetpack search).
We have looked over wpsolr website and we haven’t found the pricing page.

We would consider to buy the Pro version of WPSOlr only for having activated this functionality. Where we can see the price for Pro version of WPSolr?
Hi,
we considered to use WPSolr with Weaviate Cloud instead of locally installing it, but in WPSolr plugin it is not possible to use a cloud instace of Weaviate. How this can be done?
Thanks,
No need to have Pro versions of those plugins. You can test with their free versions.
Hi,
Yes, I mentioned that the free version allows only one notification bar, not two or many. I reffered only to the notificatiion bar, not to other kind of notifications like pop-ups or something else. Because I wanted to activate two notification bars each running 30 sec., displaying two different messages.
Regards,
@wpsolr I would like to ask an off-topic question related to Weaviate installation in production environment, if it’s allowed.
In WPSolr documentation it is recommended to install Weaviate using Docker, while in the Weaviate documentation it is recommended to install it using Docker only for testing purposes. For production env. they recommend to use Kubernetes. It would be a problem if we will install Weaviate using Docket in production env., how we should proceed?
thx!
@Md Rashed Hossain: you don’t give a penny about our issues raised from an uncontrolled changed of UX of Tutor LMS starting with v3.0. Just nice talking. And I am not interesed in your “concerns”.
I want my previous version of Tutor LMS, the version I bought.
In v3.0 you changed the frontend course creation, and I don’t like the new interface, the new flow of creating courses lessons and what so ever. I want the previous interface because that was the reason we bought the Pro version. And the compatibility with Google Drive which now is not working anymore.
You just cannot change things just because you dream to “enhance” Tutor LMS, without keeping in mind your customers needs!
Did you collect your customers opinion regarding the new flow? NO! “Hey customers, we want to mess up the UX frontend course builder. What is your opinion, since you paid for it? Here is our UX suggestion. TAke a look over wireframes and tell us how we can do this better?” I haven’t received such a message! I received, in exchange, messages like “buy now Tutor Pro, X% off”. But I already bought the Pro months ago…
Did you think you might disrupt your customers business by changing the UX? NO!
Did you care about that? NO!
I spend 2 months on testing all the LMS from the market and I have chosen Tutor. Why? Because I liked the frontend UX course creation. Now you mess it up!
