No. I haven’t yet. I dropped the idea of permalinks after trying out many ways. Installing an ISAPI filter for rewriting is the only thing, which I cudn’t try as my web hosting company doesn’t support installing filters.
You can do that. WordPress’s advanced post editor manipulate the post contents upon saving. Some tags (like div) are removed in that operation. So be careful in using wordpress compatible tags. You can always switch off the advanced editor from your profile page.
