If anyone else has this issue….
On ubuntu wordpress is installed to /usr/share/wordpress. To the best of my knoldge this plugin has issues following symlinks (I had /usr/share/wordpress linked to /var/www). So what I had to do was move the install from /usr/share/wordpress to /var/www and it seems to be working fine now.

I don’t know what you are talking about the plugin is completely free…
Anyone else who reads his review disregard it.
