I think the main issue was that my header did not look very professional… I created it myself and I think it was too big, 960 x 200. I have uploaded a new, professionally created header that I think looks better and is also smaller, 960 x 120.
I have also installed the W3 Total Cache plugin and my site seems to be loading faster as well not that it was slow before. Just trying to improve user experience.
Regarding the theme… I am using iThemes Builder and I can customize the theme as Builder gives me a lot of flexibility to make changes to the look & feel of my theme.
Please have another look and let me know what you think. What is your first impression? What can I do to improve the look & feel of the site?

In reply to: Just getting started, First WebsiteI like the look & feel of the site. The header looks fine and I love the high quality photos. However, there is a big empty space under the nav bar that looks out of place. Btw, I used IE to look at it.
