Yes I think you are right when you think of experienced users, but many users (like me) write in a program (I use Abiword) and then paste in WordPress or emial it like I do with Postie.

Then it is a bit irritating when WordPress changes the aperance of the article and you have to edit it manually.

I can live with that I think, but I would perefer that imported text were lefet alone like it is in most other program of this kind that I use. At work we have a small button editor that clean the imported formating if that is what we want.

May I suggest an option or somting in the writing settings dialogue, as I have seen some other questions about issues relating to this.

    However thanks for you replies!

Well I would like to use the editor, I just wish it wouldn´t cut my blank lines between paragraphs as I ad them just to improve readability. Is there a way to do that to?

    Normally I post with Postie.

All I need is some blank lines between paragraphs som that there is more space, as it makes it easier to read.

Is there no way to make the editor leave the blank lines alone?

I would also like to know how to turn of the automatic editing as it screws up things for me to.

However I love the rest of it!

Sorry… my mistake. But isn´t it so that the editor removes repeted
automaticly. It looks like that to me and I am pretty sure I have read it somewere…..

I would like to go in and out the html-editor without have to put thos back again manually? Is there an option somewere to turn this off?

Yes that is right, but should´nt this be possible inside WordPress, to browse the posted comments. It seems a bit primitive to me……..

Ahhh… Ok. Sorry I didnt know that you can control it with the templates. You see I am new to WordPress, coming from Xoops.

I will look into this template thing and learn how to use them for my purpose.

I dont think that the themes are the right place to change the functionallity of WordPress. That should be done i settings and options. Themes are just for the presentation and so on….

Ok I see… then there maybe should be another option to disable it all together from a page… It cant be right to cripple functionality from such an important feature as the pages….. ;o(

I was planning on using one page as a guestbook and I have lots of other things in mind….

But isn’t that a bit strange…. as there are options when you create a page to allow comment or not. To me it seems a bit strange to turn that possibility of in the theme when you can disable it in the form…..

If i replaced the old dateline on line 646 with your line it worked fine….. ;o)

The same in edit.php on line 169. How great this support forum is! Thanks mate!

Will this be included i future versions or do I have to edit this manually when the bext version comes out?

Thanks for that MichaelH! I really should be easy to implement that…. just by a function call or something instead of using hard coded date format ;o)

I have been using Xoops for a long time but I am a total newbie with WordPress, but I have already decided to move a couple of charity sites from Xoops to WordPress, because of better performance, support (all the nice people here)and speedy development. Xoops seems to have stopped developing nearly completely… ;o(

But I cant figure out where I should make the edit to have the 24 hour date format in the edit pages view.
