i’m having the same problem. when I select my images to attach to a post of a gallery… the dialog turns white, and just hangs. i am using the core photography theme.

hmmm, maybe i am being misunderstood. I am not trying to debug an issue. I am asking how to custom edit the theme twentyeleven to resize the footer.
i’m pretty sure i have to edit style.css, just not familiar enough to locate what/where it needs to change.
