I did manage to fix the event date problem on the site itself by inserting the code suggested in the theme functions.php file. I originally put it in the wrong place and gave myself the white screen of death. But now the events and posts appear as date posted on the website from the computer. What I do notice, however, is that on the mobile site the “Recent Deals and Events” page (which is my home page) still filters everything by date of event. So, for instance, I posted an event that takes place in January and it ALWAYS appears at the top of the “Recent Deals and Events” on the mobile site (which is over half my business) thus, looking like I never update my site. On the computer version inserting that code made it look right, but not by mobile device. So….not sure how I’m going to fix that. That’s my objective today. (Always something, right?)
As to the RSS feed, I found a way on yahoo pipes to combine both the regular feed and event feed and then add the combined feed to my feedburner account. BUT, when I look at the feed it appears that the list is still showing up by date of event, i.e. my most recent posts aren’t at the top, they are below events coming up today (that I posted weeks ago), for instance. So, i don’t know if when it sends out an email today it will only include posts I posted today or what it will do with that information. However, when I added the new combined feed to my RSS Owl it doesn’t show events i posted today, so I’m assuming it will continue to have the same problem as the mobile site and that it’s not going to burn those events until the day they happen–which coincidentally will be too late to tell people about them.
Let me know if you discover a fix. Or hey, if someone knows a fix for that problem I’d really love to hear about it. Thank you.

In reply to: Blog DisappearedThank you, Cipraian. I called them, they had backups on hand and the problem was fixed by BlueHost in about 37 seconds this morning. Yay!

In reply to: WP website and back end gone – all I'm getting is blank pagesThis has happened to me also, but I changed the functions.php file with some code and then decided I didn’t want it there so I went back to remove it and update the file, but now I can’t log in and can’t see the website. What do I do? I have cleared the cashe and cookies, I’ve tried to log in to the site, to bluehost, through cpanel, and cannot view the site.
