Do you have any custom functions in place in your functions.php file?
Something might have gone wrong with the migration of files. Can you reinstall the plugin?

When an event is completed, it is no longer shown in the events loop via code in the loop. Nothing is changed in terms of the event status so this really comes down to how that plugin is running queries for posts.
Something you might want to try is to show your events in the main blog loop. This setting can be found under Events â–º Settings. There’s a screenshot at the top of this page â–º https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/advanced-options-for-adding-events-to-the-main-blog-loop/

We don’t offer any sort of integration with that plugin so it’s not by design on our part.
This likely comes down to how the plugin handles custom post types, something that is unfortunately out of our control.

The easiest way to do this would be with shortcodes, unfortunately they are only available with The Events Calendar Pro.
This can be done without shortcodes but will require some custom development.
