In reply to: Remove link to post from top menuThank you latenighthacker .. here is a link to the home page and top menu bar:
1) “Vlog” on the far right of the top menu and links to a post rather than a page.
2) Ideally, I would like to remove it from the top menu and confine the top menu to pages only
3) Better still, I would like to disable posts altogether .. and replace them with a page + comment box .. and, if this is possible, would appreciate you telling me how to do this .. as this is my preferred option.

1) “Menu” only allows me to remove pages not posts
2) Have successfully deleted all posts
3) Link to post on top menu still remains
4) When I click on it all it says is “No Results Found”
5) Is there anyway I can remove link to post from top menu completely?

In reply to: Plugin, appearance, settings not showing up on dashboardI have a similar issue but am unable to resolve it from the above link. The issue is that my dashboard is not showing properly so there are no “pages” .. “add plugin” .. “appearance” .. etc. etc. available.
1) The dashboard only shows:
a) Forums
b) Blog
c) News
d) Profile2) I am only able to login with new username .. which I spotted when doing a password reset and somehow seems to have changed from admin .. and so am no longer able to login with admin .. which is how I previously always logged in
3) On the howdy menu new u/n is showing .. no access to admin and full dashboard .. plus profile says new u/n cannot be changed.
4) I also believe this may be an old WordPress version but do not know how to check version?
5) Is there any way we can resolve this and regain access to admin and full dashboard .. by perhaps giving the new u/n admin status please?

i have a multi-site with a custom theme on the main site. i switched themes on a minor site to the default Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated. I created a new page and still could not see the boxes at the bottom to untick for no discussion.
i believe there is a procedure for creating a static home page. Could one use that procedure to create more than one static page (no discussion)? If so, how please?
