    Thanks you your idea. Next time the theme updates I’ll experiment as you suggested. Thanks again. Len

    I’m concerned about disabling Wordfence as despite the fact this is a new site and I have search engines scan turned off, Wordfence is showing it blocked over 7000 brute force attempts from over 9 countries so far this month.

    So I’ll wait until the next set of theme update failures then turn Wordfence off for 24 hours and hope my site isn’t hacked in that period. However that should confirm if some Wordfence setting is impacting the security of the theme files.

    I was hoping to avoid disabling Wordfence, thinking there was a WordPress log somewhere which would identify which application and reasoning for this filesystem access failure but if not possible then disabling Wordfence is my only option.

    kind Regards.

    Tim, thanks for the feedback. Yes it is in Learning Mode. I’d been experimenting with a few items which were rejected until I used the Learning Mode and it was in that mode during the last attempted update.

    It just seems strange, the automatic update attempts constantly fail on the theme, every few hours but works immediately when I click the manual Update button. It feels like my level of access is higher than the applications so I thought there may be a setting or a security log I could setup/examine to see why the fs_unavailable message occurred.

    What do you think?

    Thanks, Len

    Plugin was W3 Total Cache
    First thing was to check the product page links to 3 Amazon sites were still active as there is still no way of easily determining if the Amazon page was still there. Then…
    1. I cleared the cookies in my browser;
    2. Purged the cache from the WP Admin Dashboard;
    3. Used VPN to the country of interest;
    4. Used the browser to load my product page;
    5. It correctly showed the product and price for the appropriate country and went to the correct Amazon site for that country.
    6. Then repeat 1-6 for next country. Worked for 3 countries tested.

    I knew from your support forum others hadn’t any geo display problem so it had to be me but I didn’t want to use this plugin for 200 products in 4 countries without proving it worked.

    So now I know what the problem was I will commence the change over as I review each page.

    Thanks, again, Eon.

    Thanks for the tip. Your suggestion worked so I then forced the cache to be cleared between each of multiple countries and the page displayed the correct geo-targeted ad correctly.

    So thank you for explaining why previous tests produced weird results.

    Can someone please give me a clue as to why when I load my sales page, I have US links even though I’ve VPN to London, but when I then click on the US product, I’m automatically redirected to the correct UK product page?

    Thanks.

    Ronald, I have passed the above message to Thrive Themes so you two techos can address the issue.

    Please keep this case open so I can know when finalised.
    Thanks.

    Matthew, have received feedback from Thrive themes support and they are very interested in addressing any “kind of things that we’d need to do to make sure that our software is in line with their tool”.

    They have requested any specific requirements EUM may have as they believe their plugins and themes are delivered using same functionality so not sure why plugins work but themes don’t work. Is there a size limit as their themes are large or is it something to do with write permissions of the wp-content/themes/ folder, etc?

    Thanks.

    Oops. forgot to include Theme is Rise from Thrive Themes but have same issue with their other themes. Couldn’t find anything in their support forum about this issue. Thanks,

    Yes, it is a 3rd party theme. Is there something they need to do to get their theme working to your requirements as their plugins always load correctly using EUM?
    Thanks.
