That works for hiding them which looks better than how it did so I appreciate that. I’ll be using it that way for now, but do you or anyone else know how to display specific cat-links?

Below is the screenshot. You can see that it shows the date and the author which is fine. Then it does what appears to be ABC order for the Cat-Links depending on what category is selected for each post. I’d rather either that not appear at all or I get to decide which category title would show up there.
