Thanks for your response Eric, we’re using a purchased theme called FitnessGYM from mazda/envato. It does have a lot of background settings as far as I can tell.
According to the wordpress settings, the static front page is set to use our Home page (which is a “Page”) however the overall home page (www.wilkesacademy.com.au) has a few sections, so the actual home page text is from a page section (yes, you’re correct).

I don’t think the other text does show up anywhere.
How would I check the source code?

    Thanks heaps for your help!

Thank you for your help so far.

@WENSolutions I am using a theme called FitnessGYM which allows you to show the fitness services you offer (e.g. We have martial arts classes, so I am displaying those). “Pages” list the same classes, but as a drop down menu.

I therefore have “Pages” with roughly the same information as “Services” but as far as I can tell it’s only the services info that shows up. What I’m really trying to do is improve SEO, so I think I should delete the text within WordPress “Pages.” I’m just not sure if google would be picking up the duplication or not.

Thanks @andrew – I will not contact anyone via skype!
