Pro version or the free version of the plugin you are using?
Simply because the field you have created is a Input Text box, which is different from a Text Area box. The only textarea box i see on the screenshot is the order comments, hence the reason why for the code above.
You would need to create a Text Area box, to get the text to wrap.
This is not suppose to happen. Have you tried deactivating all your plugins except WooCommerce Checkout Manager (old version), then update that plugin alone? To see if the problem still persist.
Please click on “Add new field” button and there you would see the option to enter in abbreviation name and label name.
Does your theme have a Custom CSS Section?
If so, you can input this:textarea#order_comments { height: 277px; }Just change “277px” to anything you want.
If your theme does not have this option, you can download WooCommerce Checkout Manager Pro which has this option.

Addressing Issue as follows:
Please make sure all your settings is correct for checkbox.
After adding a new field, choose type must be checkbox– Abbreviation name must be entered,
– to turn off required attribute, uncheck “Required” checkbox
– to set the values of the checkbox as in “yes” or “no” or perhaps something else, click “More Toggler” >> “Checkbox Toggler” then fill in fields following instructions
