    Sorry for the delay. With some help I Created a test and deactivated the plugins as advised. Turning them on one at a time I found the clash to be with WooCommerce Modal Fly Cart + Ajax add to cart plugin.
    I have disabled this now and the gift cards work fine.
    I have tested the full process and other errors have also disappeared.
