Bumping this to get authors attention.
Re-ordering of hierarchical post types (e.g. pages) is an extremely useful feature.
Will have to stay on v1.9.5.2 until this is fixed.

Sorry I realise after re-reading that the question was badly worded. New attempt:
When clicking the modal-link the only thing that gets displayed in the modal is the post_content (what you put into the content editor when creating a post). This ‘bug’ only happens when the modal-link refers to a page on the website created using an Elementor template. If it refers to a standalone page created using Elementor, everything gets displayed perfectly.
I think this has something to do with this article: https://allurewebsolutions.com/open-wordpress-post-modal-without-plugin#customizing
but I’m not sure you can do that with Elementor. I could be asking in the wrong place.
I also get a 404 error in the console when opening the modal-link.
