In reply to: Check out my site, and show me yours!Because I’m not part of this industry, what might be obvious to others, isn’t obvious to me, with that said:
I’d push the latest blog content down and add a section with a one sentence tagline that explains exactly why someone would want behind the scenes documentation.
I’d also add some imagery to your Our Services and Projects pages to flesh them out a bit and give more examples of your previous work.
good luck!

In reply to: Review my Blog – Date-Flirt-ChatHello.
The design is old. I would look for a more modern look by using a theme from the repository or from one of the for profit theme houses. I like Studiopress.com, but there are countless others.
As well, I’d eliminate the empty white ad boxes until you actually have ads to include there.
Good luck,

In reply to: Gardening Site – REDESIGNED – reviews?Jalena,
1. Your pinterest link doesn’t work.
2. Your blog content might need to be a couple of points larger. There is a lot of content in some of your posts and it can be hard to read.
3. and as in posts like this: http://mostbeautifulgardens.com/easy-low-maintenance-houseplants-youll-love/ I would remove the excerpt from the top of the post.
Good luck,

In reply to: New to blogging, please review my site🙂 So I look at many gamer blogs and there are a few things that catch the eye.
1. Your header image needs to be a bit brighter in order to really see what is going on.
2. Each post, below the header should also include a header image in order to attract a click.
3. In your About page, I’d include who you play in each game in case others want to connect with you.
4. You have links to other game sites in your main menu. I’d change this and place those links in a side bar. You don’t want people to leave your site before they have had a chance to scroll down and look at what else you have to offer.
5. Instead of the game links, I’d have links in the menu to your game categories for your posts so that people can find all the posts for a particular game in one click.
other than that? Awesome!
Good luck and happy gaming/posting!

In reply to: Requesting a site review for user experienceI don’t think color scheme is important. What you have no is fine. However, I’d recommend the following:
1. I’d show the category list in the side bar. At first glance it’s hard to know what kind of concise information you’re actually specializing in. Having the category list visible will give the visitor an instant idea on what you provide.
2. You need to have someone edit your copy for spelling and grammar.
3. You have a login link in your menu, is that for the admins or are you offering a membership area? If it’s the later, nothing on your site tells about this.
Good luck!

In reply to: Please Review My Website About DronesIt’s great, readable, design makes the most out of the space.
I’d look into adding two more columns in your footer:
Do you want to capture email addresses?
Are you monetizing at all?
Something about you?Any one of those things or something else that provides the visitor with information about why you provide this information and what else you might offer is good.
Good luck!

In reply to: Offliner websiteSo it seems you don’t really do web design, but rather Theme installation. I would:
1. broaden the themes you use a bit and add to your demo page
2. Change the title of your newsletter sign up to something like Free Updates, Free Information, etc. Because no one wants to sign up for Email Marketing… chances are they won’t even read what you have in that column after they see that title.
3. I’d change your menu bar to say Theme installation and not Web Design, as it’s misleading and your website doesn’t convey that you actually do design.
Good luck!

In reply to: Website Feedback Greatly AppreciatedLove what you have done so far. Here are recommendations:
1. I would eliminate the ‘home’ link at the top of your content body on the landing page. Your title/logo is your default home link and adding another one is redundant and takes up space.
2. You have your About information under your header and menu. It’s too long and looses visitors. I’d save this space for a lovely tagline and then let the images load just underneath this. It’s your images that will grab people and have them stay.
3. The tagline should say something about WHY you’re socially responsible.
4. It looks like you sell sponsor ads? I’d add one or two to your footer and sell those for a higher premium price on your home page.
Good luck!

In reply to: Make my homepage better?I’d eliminate the slider. It’s old practice. You can read here for some more information on that:

I like your portfolio layout and design, but I’d add a bit more custom work to your home page to give a taste of what you can do as a designer before the visitor even hits your portfolio.
Good luck,

In reply to: Coffee House in Brussels – please review itSoapmarine,
Honestly? I wouldn’t change a thing. Layout is great, all necessary content is there. Your branding is conveyed clearly. The imagery is professionally done and looks amazing and most importantly? You have your hours listed. I can’t tell you how many times I go to a coffee house site and can NEVER find the hours of operation.
Good luck!
